Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Of course we are (sez me, speaking for everyone!) - in any case, it was all CIRRUS's fault and she's been kind enough to fess up
22 October
The fire seemed to wake itself up this morning, then workers came and encouraged it, then it went down... then, late afternoon, a bird landed on the campost and shortly afterwards the cam went down. Apart from morning corvids I didn't see anyone else on the nest, but it was one of those breezy days where clouds were scudding and causing flickers of light.
A Chatter reported "I think it maybe maintenance. From 17:43:56 there are noises from the cam pole, followed by a switch off at 17:45:13" but my findings disagree.
I've only just remembered to check the cam - it's back up, don't know since when. I think it's the same URL.
