Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Thank you for confirmation, RICHARD & TONY - as you can imagine, I'm glowing
Pre-08:00 this morning we had 2 visits by a Raven - I don't bother to post all their visits but the second one today had such a thorough preen on the perch, and some caws, I couldn't resist a rather long video - albeit less than a third of the time it was there.
I laboured long over this, sound and vision, and still doubt that I should crop this grainy cam - yet s/he deserved a closer view
Only thing to report tonight is some flying insects braving the rain:
The cam provided interesting scenes all the rainswept night!
The weather has since dried up but it's breezy. No birds seen so far thism morning.
Well , most of the pics looks like a female salmon (out of sight) laying her eggs
Quite amazing, thanks Scylla
Late afternoon yesterday, a pair of Mistle Thrushes were on the nest for nearly 6 minutes - I'm uploading vid but have to log off now so here's a hasty snap:
Last night was almost the same as the night before but not such heavy rain:
