Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

scylla said:EDIT - I've had to stop the download because the cam's on a permanent buffer since 00:14 and it's now 00:40
And naturally I forgot all about it so have nothing for all night and day :'(
From rollback - rough snaps to show she was there, at least.
07:22
She was gone well before 08:00 and I haven't found her since - but I can't see anything between the white flickers.
At one stage I even flipped over the the SW Florida bald eagles, where Harriet and M are on their second brood of the season due to tragedy (first eaglet suffered from rat-poisoned prey and bled to death) - amazing couple, H&M
No further appearances on the nest, but someone landed on the campost @ 22:22 and took off @ 22:25 - it sounded like CJ.
Only signs of insect life overnight... and then...
04:43 Clatter/chirp !!!
05:31:
Off she flew (always looking for a new configuration of CJ's lovely wings ;) ):
However, when I checked the live cam just now she was on the perch preening. That will have to wait.
05:44:
CJ was on the nest several times between 06:30 and 09:00.
She brought a silly stick:
She placed it several times, it ended up in the bottom left corner:
More nestorising:
Flyoff 09:05:
09:20 her curly stick got blown off:
From 12:45 a STONECHAT (thanks for the correction, Mike) spent over 5 minutes preening and looking around:
19:16 Jackdaw:
There were several cambumps during the evening but I didn't catch CJ on the nest. At 21:04 she made a heavy landing with chirps (not chippy) and did a lot of scraping till she flew, unseen still, @ 21:49.
Only insect activity seen after nightcam, that's it up to 00:30.
A small bird on the perch at 06.29 - Chatters are saying its a Stonechat?
Gets pixilated when trying to enlarge though
