Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Someone here will know her age, I've forgotten what year she hatched (Rutland). She's quite young but not very, I think.
LenSpider paid a visit:
CJ landed with a few chippy chirps, 2 minutes after a cambump - some untidy feathers, which no doubt she will preen very soon:
Some self-motivating exercises:
Some crop-dropping:
Some picking around in the nestcup:
Standing, looking:
She helicoptered and chirped on landing:
She must have flown shortly after but it was during one of my downtimes due to dang Windows Updates...
Yes, from YT rollback it was 09:07, she flew left and out of the top left of our picture. Can't see that she's been back since.

Well there's a blast from the past. Was he part of the translocation to Poole from Loch Garten?

Final visit for a couple of minutes, "mildly defending":
CJJ was tidying the nest and they went tothe perch to have athorough preen making herself and the nest even more beautiful than they already are Makes me quite sad thinking od all that breeding potential not being used. She has now flown
Unknown said: I didn't see the eggs go. Were they taken by a corivid?
She broke at least one and buried them all, Cirrus.
LenSpider passed over, with before and after effects - it had been the usual grey mist background:
05:16 CJ landed on the campost with 3 little chirps.
05:27 Clatter-bump.
06:04
She stood around looking this way and that, then shifted a stick a few inches an almost nestcupped but not quite:
Then up to the perch, where she preened and ruffled and flew left @ 06:48:
I don't think she's been back.
