Link to April thread
To elaborate on Cathy's rather minimalist post . Louis arrives with a headless fish at 16.58, Aila takes it. She has a few nibbles and tries tentatively to feed the chick who doesn't seem that interested. Aila lays the fish on the nest and Louis takes it off the nest at 17.03. Louis brings the fish back at 17.20 and this time the chick gets a few mouthfuls. Aila makes sure the fish is under her tail for later as she sits back down. Louis flies off at 17.27. Ian
This is the only pair I can think of - Alia has left the next with the fish & left Louis in charge!,
Sorry, I may have got that wrong - I thought it was Alia who full with fish, it may have been Louis
I guess this will be the last feed of the night.

I hope Aila has a settled night with her first wee chick of the season. Good Night All
and another before I go
Aila tripped herself up during her constitutional - she still had a flyabout:
03:35 - Out of the blue, Aila flew off alarm calling - a shadow zipped by at least once (I haven't watched it thru yet), Aila was off the nest for just over a minute but stood standing, very alert, for some time.
A zipper-by:
She flapped at someone:
Don't know what that was :o
The rest of the short night passed uneventfully, until Louis arrived with a very fine headless fish @ 04:16:
Hardly edited, it's over 7 minutes long:
I don't know if the fish is still on the nest.
