Unknown said:Thanks for alerting me to this programme Ian. Horatio Clare is a wonderful writer. If you haven't read his 'Single Swallow' book I recommend it. Lubeck is a wonderful town. Bach at 4.30?
Korky I'll be absent from 13.00 (Bach music for the viola da gamba) and be back (or Bach to acknowledge your pun) at 17.00, there is a programme of Bach & Buxtehude at 16.30.
Aila looks very relaxed on the nest despite no fish so far today, maybe the pike yesterday left a sour taste in both their mouths. Aila did shoot off the nest calling at 12.13 and returned three minutes later, whatever bothered her must have come to nothing. Ian
She's looking perky. First hatch a week today?

Proving that I can listen to the radio and watch the nest at the same time. 13.13, a gust of wind blows a stick onto Aila's back. She is too busy fish calling to notice. 13.28, Louis flies over the nest, from the brief glimpse I don't think there was a fish in his feet. Aila moves some sticks and at 13.31 Louis lands without a fish. 13.32, Aila flies off still fish calling and Louis has a (not) well deserved rest. Ian
13.39, Aila returns and has a bit of a scratch of her head with her talons before flying off again at 13.41. Ian
16.42, breakfast or is it lunch or afternoon tea is delivered as Louis brings in a headless fish. Aila takes it in her talons. Ian
Just scrolling thru the day and have come upon a sight for IAN's sore eyes:
Aila being persuasive @ 18:52:
It started around 19:30 - but she's used to it, she'll hardly notice ;)
