Having missed a whole night & day, I've written them off and am starting from last night, a very sketchy account:
Aila had a routine night - very alert, no intrusions that I noticed.
Haven't done a PS snap for a long time - just to show she's still functioning ;)
05:30 Aila flew off and there was a short wait for Louis to take over. Aila returned @ 06:00 with a hunk of bark and sorted sticks around Louis until he got up and went:
08:30 Louis brought an unremarkable straight stick and took over, Aila returned with more bark 09:03 - it took several minutes to get Louis off the eggs.
11:15 Aila had a wing-drying flyabout (it's been raining for hours and hours):
14:01 Aila reacted to an unseen intruder, flying off alarm calling:
She'd only just got back and settled when she repeated the process, she was still alert on her return but not further "trouble" seen since:
A deer browsing, lol:
That's up to about 14:50 - no fish yet !!!

Scylla "That's up to about 14:50 - no fish yet !!!" If only you'd waited another eight minutes :) Ian
PS - the third picture superbly captures Aila's side markings.

Geemeff picked up a wing-spread around 01:00, nothing came of it.
... ... ...
I posted the above quote and sentence many hours ago, intending to do a complete catchup, but got digressed very seriously and now I'm so tired I can only post the fish that IAN rued I'd missed by 9 (IIRC) minutes - and I couldn't even get a good snap of that:
I'm going to try to stay awake for MrsG getting up at Glaslyn but no energy for anything constructive, sorry Louis & Aila
Good Morning Everyone
I scrolled back around 3 hours and could only find Aila incubating. I think Louis is sitting on the far off tree, as I can see movement there.
Something has caught Aila's eye but it is not Louis as he is still sitting on the tree

Aila decided to fly off at 06.58 hrs and Louis flew from the tree to come and incubate.
Just noticed the time is about 6 minutes out. Must be Loch Arkaig time
Aila came back for a short while, but Louis didn't move so she flew off again.
Now she has arrived back again at 07.19 LA time and the mist has descended....
I think the look says it all and she is now incubating.
Morning all. Nevermind what is happening on the nest, I am cheered up immensely by seeing a couple of posts from Mary Ian
PS - nothing much happening on the nest.
Awww shucks Ian - Thank You - just felt like a wee break... (not that I could go anywhere)
To prove how fickle the weather is, the mist has now lifted. We are also back on Scottish Mean Time. They must have fixed the clock.
07.58, Aila has left the nest, I didn't hear her making any calls so I don't think she is chasing anything. Ian
EDIT - by the time I had typed my post, Louis had taken over incubating duty. Aila must have seen him.
