I think there is a need to still have this thread, so although "not with Tiger's flourish" have opened it to last 3 months which should be suitable for any useful and interesting snippets, news, links etc.

Just been looking at a road trip for next summer taking in a dozen or so sites.
It's certainly a long way to Loch Arkaig from the South coast.
There does seem a natural route to take however.
Up through Wales, for the 4 nests, then west coast of England and keeping west into Scotland, going North, then head across at Arkaig and Garten.
Then head back down the East side of Scotland, into England, finishing off at Rutland.
Has anyone done this trip and any ideas of a time scale.

I hope you are allocating at least a month to do it Richard problem is once you are at one project it is very hard to keep to a schedule as you always want to stay longer than you plan to stay
