LOCH OF THE LOWES - APRIL 2020

  • I expect everyone will check in here so I'll announce my departure, just so you know where I am ;)  See you later xxx

  • Thank you for the link to this thoughtful blog SANDRA I will be pleasantly surprised if we see eggs/chicks on this nest this year but once lockdown is over perhaps we will hear that they have had a successful season near by
  • Thank you, Emma, for a very well written and informative blog , and
Sandra for posting the link . It must be so disappointing for the team.

RE the pic Scylla Wot is it ??? a dead live thing ???? OMG. Thank you for the little bird vid
  • Nice selection including Blue Tit, Great Tit and female Chaffinch.
Looking at the smaller birds certainly brings it home how big the Ospreys are.

  • Was it NC0 or an unringed female? Not sure if I can see leg rings due to the sunlight glare

  • How fortunate you got a capture of an Osprey on this erstwhile nest Sandra. Yes, it's jolly difficult to judge whether there is a ring .
Birdie - good luck with your task and thank you for the huge effort it must be.
  • Remind me to post audio of our very loud Wren(?) at this time... well, a bit earlier, by the time I get to post this.
  • The gnawing is going on now.
  • I just came back into the room to see an osprey fly away from the nest...
