How awful - as you say Sandra thank goodness no eggs or chicks!

But I said at the beginning of the season that I was really surprised they had not stripped back this nest for it is top heavy.

Thank you Mary, I’m just so relieved no eggs, chicks or Ospreys were in situ at the time.

Oh no!! But plenty of time to repair it and it will give them something to do other than all that mating

They have both been on the nest, at the moment NC0 is. Laddie can't be too upset as he did try a half-hearted attempt at mating! Ian

If anyone's wondering about my lack of contributions, tech things are going on here, I could only watch, aghast.

Presently, when we're not in a semi-permanent buffer, NC0 is leaning precariously (of course it's not precarious for her!) over the front of the nest, as if lying on the wind :-*

It made me wonder how many unknown nests are suffering in this wind. It's gusting at 39mph at Pitlochry which is further north and seems to be having the strongest gusts in Scotland.
