Last season Louis and Aila arrived on their nest almost at the same instant on the 4th of April. Here's to a repeat, but a few days earlier to save our anxiety.

Snaps of a few of Louis's activities:
What a relief when he came empty-taloned... but what feathers!
16.55, Louis calling again as Aila arrives at the nest. Maybe he is just glad to see her. He can't be in a hurry to move off the eggs, he is still sitting at 16.59.and Aila is pressurising him to move, eventually he does. :) Ian
20.07, Louis delivers a good sized headless fish. Aila takes it and flies. Aila returns at 20.49. Louis gives up possession of the eggs at 20.51. Hopefully Aila has a peaceful night & Wednesday will be egg number three day. I am predicting early evening (say 19.00). Ian
Some highlights.
Bit off more than I could chew:
We couldn't tell if there was a threat or if she was just making sure the coast was clear before a short flyabout:
Morning everyone. WT chat reports an owl strike at 02.02.04. I have scrolled back to it, even at 0.25 playback speed it was quick and it took Aila by surprise. She seems none the worse for the incident and settled back on the eggs soon after. Ian
PS - Scylla I like the borders to your snaps!
Aila's tail is slightly twitching, I've no idea it that signifies anything or if egg three is on the way. Ian
EDIT - she also looks to be making some sort of effort judging by her breathing.
No Ian she has to wait until 10.30 ish to lay, as that is my guestimate on FOA
Maybe the tail twitching means it is on its way.

Freebie software from the Microsoft Store :) You'd never know it, but I use at least 3 different photo handlers, often all on the same snaps, and they still never look as sharp and good as others'.

I hadn't got that far for my last post, IAN, it was still a download in progress - but even if I had I wouldn't have noticed it, it just looked like she wiggled her bottie a little ;)
(Will this come out big enough for clarity or will it be ginormous?)
So much for that theory, Louis arrives at 08.08 with a stick and Aila flies off. Her breathing looked more pronounced to me before Louis arrived. Ian
