Last season Louis and Aila arrived on their nest almost at the same instant on the 4th of April. Here's to a repeat, but a few days earlier to save our anxiety.

Oh dear, Scylla, from your video it looks likely that Aila was defending ........ maybe against a pine martin. Good girl. I well remember EJ doing tine same thing... ... ...

Our (((EJ))) was wonderful at defending, unlike timid Aila in her first couple of seasons - but she's toughened up a lot with experience :-*
As IAN has recalled for us, a pine marten shouldn't be able to climb the tree now.
Ian I hope you manage to see Aila lay her second egg live.
She is keeping us waiting though, as by my calculations it is almost 76 hours since she laid her first egg, so she should be due any time now
I would love to stay watching but there are other things I have to do.
Good Luck All and I hope your patience is rewarded with a live view of her laying.

Yes I am, I'll probably go for a coffee and miss it :) Ian
I can't keep away - she is beginning to look eggy! but like Ian I must go for a little while (OH said he has a Morrisons slot) so I could be some time!
EDIT: If only Aila knew she has 266 people all watching her right now
I forgot to post Aila with her flyer last evening:
Still one egg:
Looks like Aila is more intent on sleeping than laying. So I will go for some lunch now, and she surely will lay while I am away.... nice weather too so might as well take advantage of it.
BI for now everyone, hopefully when I come back on line Aila will have laid her second egg.
