Last season Louis and Aila arrived on their nest almost at the same instant on the 4th of April. Here's to a repeat, but a few days earlier to save our anxiety.

Lovely morning

Aila is acting very strange this morning, she was standing on side of nest fish calling, Louis? arrives with headless fish, she grabs it off him then flaps at him, stands a little more then flaps him off the nest. She stood with the fish for a while, then the stream seemed to pause as didn't see her flying off and Louis appeared on the nest, no fly in just appeared so stream must have jumped.
I think she has been doing this the last couple of days off and on....
Standing calling (her crop does look pretty empty)
Louis lands with fish @ 08.58
This is scene at the moment, Louis mantling....

Message received! ;) I have so much faith in you that I've changed the title of the video.
Mary, to add to your post. At 09.22 Aila came back. It looked like she had eaten some of the fish. She more or less handed it over to Louis who, of course, took it. I have had a number of buffers (& by that I don't mean my fellow posters!) this morning but as best as I can tell Louis has been on & off the nest a few times, Aila hasn't shown any interest in the ever dwindling fish piece. At least she hasn't flapped him off since the fish first came in at 08.58. Louis finished off the tail on the nest at approx 10.37 to 10.38. Ian

I do hope your faith isn't misplaced Ian
11.19, a (probably military) aircraft is flying overhead. It has spooked Aila who has flown. That is all we need given Aila's strange behaviour of the last two or so days. Ian
EDIT - brave Louis comes to the nest at 11.20, to see off the "intruder" Ian
11.52, Louis is already on the nest when Aila comes back (thank goodness). There is a successful mating at 11.54 thanks to Louis' perseverance. Ian

So was I until Louis disturbed her with a stick at 12.02. It is however nice to see that for the last wee while they have been standing side by side peacefully looking out from the nest. Ian
