All looks fairly normal at Tweed Valley - one incubating and one preening beside the nest.
Diane would normally have done a blog by now, but I guess she will be in lockdown too so probably pretty impossible for her to do one.

A lot of people on the forum will have seen this video but others may not have.
This nest is in Boulder County in the US. This scene reminds me so much of the courage of EJ in her snow mountain.
This happened on the 16th April, when the female was incubating 3 eggs, the snow has since disappeared, and she laid another single egg. I am not sure how long the three eggs were left under the snow, but they are now incubating the 4 eggs.
I really do hope that at least one of the eggs hatch for them.
This US nests are always so messy.

Hi Ann
I should have added Colorado in my post as certainly knew where it was, as I have visited Boulder in the 1990's (pre-Ospreyholic days) when we were having a holiday staying in Vail and Beaver Creek. Not that I can remember much about it apart from the whole area being wonderful to visit.
Starling said:Funny you posting this today Mary, I watched it last night, I think there was also another video that said the male couldn't get down to incubate the 3 eggs. I really hope they get at least one hatch, thank you for posting.

I do hope so too Starling, you never know maybe even one of the buried eggs could hatch too, sometimes miracles do happen
Thanks GardenBirder - this looks like a great nest. One can never have enough Osprey cams to watch, especially when, er, working from home! I just wish I had two computers. One dedicated to nest cams and the other dedicated to work!

Wow, that's an amazing bit of video Mary!! And yes, a reminder of dear old EJ. I guess snow can be a bit of an insulator can't it but it depends how long they were unincubated for I suppose. I used to worry when eggs were left unattended for a few hours or overnight sometimes but mostly they hatched. Time will tell, and as you say, let's hope the pair have at least one chick.
