NEWS FROM OTHER NESTS - 2020

Thanks Scylla! Those RWBB caused no end of trouble when Mr and Mrs O returned last year. Kept dive bombing them. Got a bit worrisome when the Osprey chicks were little but all was well in time. Consensus is that the RWBB have a nest of their own close by.

More trouble-makers!  The little blighter on the right was sooo noisy but I couldn't do a vid (audio) because there was such a sharp cacophony going on, including background noises.

I'm just "doing" Barnegat Light for the day and have seen an Osprey on/off the nest - but I'm having awful trouble navigating the footage and now can't re-find it !!!

(It's not due to the stream, but to other stuff going on on this laptop.)

Dyfi Osprey Project have very kindly passed on their old VC portacabin for Llyn Brenig to use as an Osprey Lookout Point (of course, it will be available to be used once they're given the go-ahead to re-open). No ospreys (B24/HR7) have arrived as yet

Woo Hoo another has arrived.   Black 80 at Threave  YES!!!! 

We always go down every April to visit Threave, sadly this looks like our planned trip this year will be cancelled.

Excellent news - thanks Mary. And looking at UK Osprey's Countdown - Black 80 is more or less on time as he arrived 21 March last year.

I didn't realise he was 14 - times flies!   Thanks for that Mary.  Also meant to say in my last post that I am sorry you have had to cancel your visit as I know you go round the sites each year.  But for the best :-)    

Always look forward to going there Karen as it is a nice (longish walk down) and we usually get the hide to ourselves  always lots to see too, including peregrines in the castle.

We call in at Loch Doon on the way back too.    Have not cancelled our caravan site booking yet, but looks like we will have to as cannot see there being any change by end of April 

Just as well we have our Osprey Webcams to watch on line.
