2019 season summary: Laddie (LM12) arrived back from migration on Friday 15th March; Lassie (LM15) on Saturday 23rd March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4th, 7th and 10th April, hatching 11th, 12th and 16th May. Sadly, on 26th May the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26th June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M)* #2 Blue PT5 (M)*. They successfully fledged and subsequently set off for their first migration on 14th/15th August. Laddie left around the same time as the youngsters and it is thought that Lassie had already started her journey south approximately 2 weeks prior.

Both Ospreys (unringed) have been a breeding pair on this nest since 2015, after the iconic 'Lady' failed to return.

Thanks scylla, loved the video, what a handsome clever boy he is! The grass seems a bit flatter and it looks like he has been working hard flying in and out with sticks, then again the video is only 5 mins long and if that's it for the day I suppose it's not a lot LOL

Good Morning All
Thank You Scylla for making up the video and caps of Laddies morning..... (I know what goes into making those videos and its no easy task)
I scrolled back about 45 mins ago and he was on the nest, just looking around himself, and that was it, no moving twigs or anything else. I hope Lassie arrives back soon, as he looks a bit lost.

That was particularly problematic as I kept losing my place, and all the time telling myself that a few snaps would do, but set on the course and unable to divert. Madness!
You've gazumped my early landing snap ;)
Back with a nice stick:
After mainly just standing around, he was out over the loch at 07:00, as reported:

Still is, lotsa little chirps, I thought he was getting excited so I was too (you know why!). Just now he landed with a very long branchy stick, I'll do some postings later.
EDIT - His sticks don't show up well in snaps, a vid will have to be done eventually :)
