Oh no!! We see some wonderful things on webcams from around the world but also some very sad things too.
Oh no, poor Daisy Duck, did this note happen last year as well?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Yes, CATLADY, it happened last year too.
Here's a very long video, some FF, of the raid and Daisy's reactions. I don't think she's been back since the end of the vid.

A shortie:
Yes, CC - I'd love to know if the Lorikeet watching from the back was appalled or merely interested.
The evening after the tragedy, Daisy Duck and her husband visited the nest - Daisy (I presume, with hubby standing by) examined the nest for several minutes, then flew off, he followed a split second later:
EDIT
The next morning brought a little flock of Rainbow Lorikeets - one of them had a yellow tail, which I haven't noticed before. A student via google said "Liver disease causes green feathers to turn yellow and can be caused by nutritional deficiencies". Whether that's relevant, I do not know, and am spending no more time on it today.
And if you're at a loose end, there are some lovely bird photos on this Twitter page - including, if you scroll and scroll, an Osprey and a Kestrel, but first some familiar and not-so-familiar.
EDIT 2
Oh dear, it just goes to show... the birds who were at the top of the "list" have disappeared already - there was a lovely UK Robin, Goldfinch and Blackbird...
Scott in Akron Ohio put out a couple of very appetising-looking dangly balls but I couldn't find any birds interested.
Doesn't Daisy ever learn ! how many times in a row sigh
absolutely lovey portraits of birdies on your Twitter link Scylla. - Robin is still there, one just has to keep scroooooooooling down. Thank you for the link
