Update from CROW on E17 & E18 from the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam nest:
As of their 4pm feed, E17 & E18 continue to do well. Infection is still present and there was not much change from the morning to afternoon, but our veterinary team is happy with the progress they are making overall.

On the subject of ducklings "fledging" from a great height (the CC button turns subtitles on):

Eek!  Been sitting on this "hawk" !!! rescue since yesterday.

I've now stopped recording this nest.

Early morning visits - the first in poor light and brief and I can't ID the bird - I even thought it was Daisy when I first glimpsed it while scrolling thru:

We are so lucky in the UK not to have this variety of Raven   What a racket!

Update from CROW on E17 & E18 from the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam nest:
Both eaglets were weighed and had their eyes checked by the veterinarian in addition to their morning feed. Both eaglets were reported to have eyes open and little to no discharge. E17's right eye continues to have mild irritation of the conjunctiva while E18 has irritation of the conjunctiva in both eyes. E17 weighed 385 grams and E18 weighed 295 grams.

I wonder if the infection is Avian Conjunctivitis? So pleased they're both moving forward with their recovery, really good news! I see that Harriet slept overnight in the nest and M15 watched over her on a branch in the nest tree, bless them. Thanks so much for the update, Korky.

Aww! I do hope Harriet and M15 are delighted to see their babies, whenever their return can happen. Thanks for the report on the bereft parents Sandra.

Eagerly anticipating (hopefully), the arrival of Ospreys at Loch Garten this year. Does anyone know if any more work has been done on completing the Visitor Centre or on the setting up of cameras on the nest or feeder cam? It all seems to have gone quiet again on their diary page.
