Short owlet video - it's doing well, the eyes open @ about 9 days:
Here was the owlet gular fluttering in the Florida warmth:
IMAGICAT
Owlet got left alone for 1h25 minutes "tonight" - but OK, it slept right thru:
Just for the record, I saw no prey brought in all night up to 05:50. Could have missed something. Hope everyone's OK. Just sayin'... in bold and large.
Think there might be a dead wee bird to the left of mum at present

I haven't done any catchup yet today but can see that the owlet hasn't gone hungry.

Evening Grosbeak had the whole tray to itself, it's checking behind for potential rivals:

Great Horned Owl = mainly each other at nesting time, and peregrine falcons have been known to target them - and us, of course. Did you see the Hawk attack a while ago? Owlet = any predatory bird and squirrels etc.

I assume it's gros from "big". And this one is French Canadian, after all
A good start to today, when Dad flew in before daycam with a small rodent - owlet is at the bolt-upright stage now
Just before nightcam so very low-res - facing the wrong way but kindly turned its head just enough:
A wet night:
The day stayed damp, there was a feed but she didn't let us see it:
