Boreal Ontario
I'm catching up lots of days, hoping to find something unusual or special. Gray Jay chirps on this one:
Sometimes the Pine Grosbeaks squabble:
The Common Redpoll, normally so well-camouflaged on the feeder, show up on some snow:
Alabama - not been there for many months!
Quite a few Raccoons were seen overnight - not sure if this was a little old man or a scruffy youngster:

In Dunedin, NZ, the ranger checks on the chick. Amazing trust shown by the parent
And here's the chick, at ten days old
Great Horned Owl nest - but not owls!
I hadn't seen Dad at the nest for a few nights, last night he brought supper:
Barnegat Light has nice perches on 2 sides - I don't know if this is new this season, I didn't follow them last season:
Fist Ruffed Grouse from some time - nothing very unusual, just for the record:
Evening Growbeak had the tray to himself so nibbled casually:
I hope he managed this big peanut:
One of the orangey Pine Grosbeaks:
Mono Mrs Great Horned Owl, ultra-sharpened etc just to see what would happen:
