It was there yesterday as well but the light was bad. Here, during a 5-minute stay, it had had a little preen and suddenly something caught its attention and it stood on tippy-toes to have a look, but nothing came of it:

Boreal Ontario
Hard-boiled eggs for the birdies - a Crow had just left, the Grosbeaks came in in numbers but didn't show an interest:
Next day after the eggs had (seemingly, but I coudln't see exactly what was done) squeezed into balls when the tray was refilled, this Crow took one away:
Just thinking "not seen the Gray Jays for a few days" and in they popped!
15 Nov - Boreal Ontario
Novelty goodies got snaffled by American Crow, then in the evening the Ruffed Grouse arrived but it chose the regular seeds.

Only male Evening Grosbeaks today:
16 Nov ~ Boreal Ontario
Pine Grosbeak makes its first appearance this season - with bonus female. Are they slightly intimidated by the Evening Grosbeaks? A couple of them did come back later.
17 Nov - Fresh snow:
07:45 - tray cleared and refilled nice and early - the Chickadees had been resorting to the hanging feeders:
Up to lunchtime, Evening Grosbeak, Chickadee, Nuthatch, Squirrel seen.

The Jay pops in every few days:
The BTO says that a lot of Jays are being reported in gardens etc, they put it down to acorn season.
Manton Bay - I won't resurrect the thread.
I was downloading it but the cam went down and I forgot to keep checking - got this from rollback when I saw 2 cormorants on the nest, there had only been one for a long time when I was following.
