That was evening - mice and deer overnight, then in the early hours a Hare turned up and spent ages sitting in the clearing in the trees, mostly grooming with some sit-downs in between before trotting off:
At the pond, Mallards turned up at night - I hdn't seen them since tuning in this osprey off-season. Here, a deer startled them when it turned to nibble its bottie:

I can't find a Norfolk WTE thread, so here's some bad news via the Guardian for supporters of the reintroduction proposal (I've emailed CLARE):
Norfolk White-tail Eagle reintroduction programme cancelled.
I've been locked out of here since just before 01:00 Clearing cache & cookies several times didn't help, and such was my panic (remembering BIRDIE NUM NUM ) that it took me over 5 hours (after I'd seen that AQUILAREEN had posted "4 minutes ago") to think of trying Chrome instead of Firefox - that worked but Chrome will be very inconvenient.
