Link to August thread
Aila left on 13 August and Mallie on 20 August. Rannoch failed to follow the weekly departure pattern and we're were still enjoying her noisy company on 31 August. But not so many fish for her today and perhaps Louis is encouraging her to leave.
It's been a happy nest, mostly, this season, apart from the failure to hatch of egg 2. Let's hope Aila and Louis come back next year and we see both Mallie and Rannoch again in a couple of years.
EDIT. Louis was last seem on Thursday 5 September and Rannoch on Friday 6 September.
08.20 or so, a juvenile hooded crow helped him/herself to one of the small bits of fish Rannoch discarded on Monday. Ian
I was just thinking - what a morning for fishing, just as well there's a nestover still:
Then Rannoch arrived screeching - she's now standing over the nestover still screeching/calling.

It's why I only named this thread 'September', on the basis she might still be here in October :-))
Likely she and Louis will be gone soon and then I'll change the thread 'September to next season' (or something like that)

17.08, Rannoch comes back to the nest in anticipation of a fish, Louis brings in a headless one. Ian
17.30, she finishes the fish, gives her talons a clean & leaves the nest.
Not sure tha last fish was headless when that smallish fish arrived Ian.
More food please
