The 2 chicks were ringed on 4 July and assessed as female. They were given ring numbers JJ0 and JJ2, and later named by popular vote as Mallie and Rannoch. Both weighed 1.49kg on ringing but will weigh a lot more now after a further month's-worth of protein-packed-piscine-parenting. The WT subsequently said they thought Mallie may be male. S/he fledged on 20 July and Rannoch on 27 July.

Morning one and all. I'll be going out for a bit soon, but what a beautiful morning it has been as nest emerged from the swirling mist. I have done a fairly quick scroll back and I know pics have been posted, but I can't resist some more of Rannoch. Each sighting is getting ever more precious!
When she first landed, looking very regal
She flew just after this, and the mist began to rise, at about 07.00
It is getting much brighter now, but virtually not a puff of wind, unless I'm frozen! Watch out for the midges!

Snap away, SHEILA - you can't be as bad as I am on Dyfi for duping LIMPY ;) That mist makes for lovely snaps :)
IAN, yes, the Skating Osprey ;-D
Rannoch is still looking out for Louis - this was her approach (done on a whim):
Not sure yet about the size, sometimes it looks bigger on the way in than when Rannoch's eating it.
