The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. The four chicks were ringed on 21 June as follows: #1 Blue 054 (F), #2 Blue 055 (M), #3 Blue 056 (M) and #4 Blue 057 (F). Further details of their vital statistics can be found here.

Today,
054 and 055 are 51 days old
056 is 49 days old and
057 is 45 days old. Over the past few days the chicks have been very lively, exercising and strengthening their wings. Yesterday we saw 054 and 055 reaching great heights and helicoptering and I don’t think it will be too long until we see either of them take the plunge and fledge!
Fast asleep after an exhausting day :-)

Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks Mike.
Catch up - just before going out there was an unseen intruder.
09:24 33 mantling and screeching.
I found this particularly amusing as there was 33 defending the nest yet the chicks weren't too bothered one even continuing to devour its fish! And I would guess most likely 057 :-)
and just now 055
A lovely start to a new month, but where it June go???
I have added to my last post on the June thread rather than add it here in July. Chris Wood was at MB y'day when 055 was getting higher and higher, and posted two vids on various closed FB groups. He gave me permission to post the links to the vids on the Forum. Link to my post, here.
