Morning All - very strange to look in and see no one, not even a fish lying!
© Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust Be interesting to see what you have SCYLLA. I looked in about 02:10 and 057 was on the nest but sitting up and she then settled down but stayed awake. I was thinking being alone and in the dark she may not be fully resting for she will find it odd plus even feel a bit vulnerable. If so, no wonder we see her napping during the day -

I has a cataract op yesterday and when I looked in at 5.45 I was a bit ,like Pirate Jim I did manage a couple of captures but whe I went to post them with some text something went wrong and I lierally couldn'tsee how to rectified it so gave up and didn't bother looking at any of the nests........so here are pics and rough idea of what happened.
There was a juvie on the nest feeding wached by another
Then a third arrived and suddenly Maya flew in defending and mantling but the episode was very brief I think the 4thjuvie arrived However the one who originally had the fish had come to the front of the nest and flown off just before the 2nd capture
C ROP
IEDIT I see it was 33 who came, not Maya and 2 juvies may have flown
Now
Good morning all. I hope your cataract operation was successful Patily.
My first Osprey on the nest today and I think this is 057.

Birdies LG DU update.
Nice to hear from you Patily, hope all went well :-)
057 have a lie down just now.
057 now rises and is joined by 054 who finds the remains of a fish which she is now eating.
057 arrived back and lay down on the nest. There was an unseen threat and 33 landed mantling.
He has stood by 057 protecting her until the threat passed and then he flew off

Quite touching watching these adults provide for and protect their young.
