Link to June 2019 thread (Following Karen's excellent example of providing useful links....)
On 1 July, chick 1 is 30 days old. Chick 2, from egg 3, is 27 days old.
Apart from the sad failure-to-hatch of egg 2 , everything has been reasonably settled on the nest, and Louis is in the running for Mary's 'Fisherman of the Year Award'.

Very well spotted, IAN, it wasn't easy to see:
Aila fish-calling again:
Rannoch nestorised:
Soon after that Aila flew, Mallie returned:
Still full of the joys of fledging:
Off she went again:
No sooner was Rannoch up...
... than Aila's alarm calls sent her down again:
Aila landed a big stick onto Rannoch:
Probably it was dried out so not too heavy:
No peace for Rannoch - Mallie crash-landed:
Aila brought some little footfuls:
They both sat at her feet - but not for long, as she soon flew:
Off flew Mallie again:
Soon back:
Oh! Gone to soon?!
Rannoch had to dive again and then Aila flew in to defend - intruder not seen - plus it went on after this but...
... I've come to the end of my temperature tether, SYAL folks! :)
I hope and expect that Aila is above the cam or somewhere else very nearby... cos dear Rannoch is alone on the nest :-*
Wow! I find on checking "how long?"...
Rannoch did some prancing and flapping before bedtime:
She lay down to sleep:
Something startled her:
Eventually Aila flew in and landed on her:
I couldn't hear Aila's voice as she was approaching the nest but maybe it was she who caused Rannoch's initial flinch ;)
EDIT - No, I didn't hear anything.
Do you think they could be expecting a fish?
They're still waiting. I'm stuck with a Windows Update taking ages to install.
EDIT @ 09:55 - That Windows Update has only just finished !!! It's been terrifying, with lots of black screens and backtracking, eg ~50% back to 37%...
If they are waiting for a fish they are a bit greedy, according to WT chat there were two early on this morning :) Ian
