Link to June 2019 thread (Following Karen's excellent example of providing useful links....)
On 1 July, chick 1 is 30 days old. Chick 2, from egg 3, is 27 days old.
Apart from the sad failure-to-hatch of egg 2 , everything has been reasonably settled on the nest, and Louis is in the running for Mary's 'Fisherman of the Year Award'.

POI .. This has to be one of the best camouflaged nests to hide ospletts in ..... ever.
See Above ^^^ (previous page) , vvvv ,and many more of the pic snaps.
Really have to admire the mix of colours provided by the twigs, bark, lichen, moss, etc. that Aila and Louis have brought into this nest
19-38 .. Someone being very vocal currently ..... what a surprise, its JJ2 !! No longer a bob sounding twittering ... just full blown adult whinge calling, and I think very similar to Aila's in tone!!
21-58 JJ2 at it again...complaining
Lovely evening there. Mum's back. Fish?

Korky, seems like no supper tonight...or at least, not yet, and the light is fading fast!!

The number of times I've glanced over and yelped (internally) OMG, one of the chicks has gone!
IMAGICAT
That fish looked a bit like a long skinny tinned sardine!
Aila flew off calling after an intruder:
Not back yet:
Here she is!
She stood with the chicks, then off again:
She didn't return until:
Actually, she was looking over her shoulder much more than at us:
Mothy critter:
Only the occasional shut-eye, and not in synch with the chick's wing-stretch:
Strange behaviour, she had a very slow wander around the chicks, having a dig, disturbing them...
This one's just for her feathers :)
Then she settled close to the chicks and did some preening:
She got some tucked zuzzes:
Every now 'n then she'd wake up and check the situation, or one of the chicks would wake her up - these were post-poop flourishes, the poops themselves being unimpressive:
A gape, a flex...
And she flew off, what an insulting moment to snap ;)
The chicks remain alone on the nest.
04:47 Plump-cropped Louis delivers decent headless FISH.
JJ0 nabbed it and wouldn't let Aila take it, pecked her away! It was a long time before JJ0 allowed herself (and JJ2) to be fed.
The video only goes up to JJ0 managing a tiny bite or two:
I hope I haven't made a mistake in that vid, but am not going to rectify it if I have.
JJ2 had to watch lots of juicy morsels pass from Aila to JJ0, but she did get a good feed before and after :)
