Morning all:
Lynette: If you started a new thread, someone made off with it! :-) Still, not a problem. Just checked in and - amazing!! Four birds on the nest. EJ and three chicks. EJ is feeding them. All seem very well behaved. Guess it must be #1 and Titch busy eating?? Perhaps that's #2 hanging back. OMG It's another whale!!

Thanks for welcome.
Enjoyed reading your info but was not sure what LOTL stands for?

The fact that EJ can rise from the water with that gigantic fish and then fly it back to the nest is a testament to her strength and power!
I would love to see her from a "safe" distance but would never want to be too close to her.
If she was so inclinded she could probably carry away an intruder and drop it somewhere else .

I am glad that EJ has come up with the goods once again as there have not been many fish today. She always seems to instinctively know what is required. The juves will be full once again tonight. The next stage will be when one of the juves will carry a fish off the nest to eat in a tree. At that point I hope they change the camera to the zooming one we had last year otherwise it will be permanent ENS. Thats all from me today so its goodnight everyone.
Night vision on. One who claimed the prize is still eating. The other juve has flown off protesting

LOTL (or sometimes written LotL) is our abbreviation for Loch of the Lowes. This is a public Osprey nest just outside Dunkeld and run by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. You may have read in the press or online news earlier this year about the female becoming seriously ill, the male taking over the feeding of the 2 chicks, and her miraculous recovery. This Forum has a Thread for discussing Loch of the Lowes, and it has its own website: http://www.thewebbroadcastingcorporation.com/swt/swt.php
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Goodnight Alan. The whale will keep them all going. I reported its arrival at 9.47 and looking at the nest, it appears untouchedespite a juve having held onto it for 40mins. Hey - whats going on? Just looked at the cam and the fish is there but not an osp in sight. Is it so large the juves don't know how to deal with it?
The giant fish has been left part eaten on the nest.Good night Alan.LOTL stand for Loch of the Lowes, margos.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.

LOTL= Loch of The Lowes and is another nest that many people here are watching. The Female is the Lady and the male is the Laird ( the lord) 2 chicks hatched this year . There is a dud egg still laying on the nest . Both chicks have fledged. The lady was very sick a few weeks ago and most thought she would die. She made a miraculous recovery. She is very old. I think 27, but someone else can tell you her age for certain
