The season so far: Mrs G arrived back 25 March and Aran on 1 April. Mrs G laid 3 eggs 13, 16 and 19 April hatching 19, 21 and 24 May. Mrs G and Aran continue to work hard to raise their young and Aran is once more proving to be an excellent provider bringing in plenty of fish to feed his family.

About 11.24 MrsG. brings live Oak leaves onto the nest.
We have seen her, and other females do this.
There has been much discussion, but no conclusion of "why"
It does seem to be a deliberate choice.

Is this what's called an osprey huddle?
Or something more like osprey muddle:
Just now, we keep so warm together
But in a while, it'll happen never.
As we gain in weight and height
Our instincts bring us all to fight!
An osprey is a fearsome breed
And to be argumentative indeed
Is our default, so it will be
A rare thing for this sight to see.
Thanks Birdie. I do hope the little chick is OK. My fear reading something like this is a fishing hook.
Just now Aran has arrived, taken the fish and eating at the side of the nest

Aran had been eating a rather small fish on the perch, brought it to the nest where Mrs G fed #1 and #3, #2 didn't really make an attempt to have any of the fish
Around 20:35
I'm feeling quite concerned about #2, I hope that whatever the problem was from this morning, is resolved overnight and is back to its usual self tomorrow

Just checked and still raining. Scene just now
I just hope the little chick is Ok and we see it showing an interest at the next feeds and having some fish for it has not eaten since early this morning and as well as nourishment, it really needs fish to keep hydrated.
