Short feed and Maya returns to the chicks
Scylla I hope you are recording just now !! I think that fish is alive as I saw it flappin and its moved towards the cup/chicks I don't think I imagined it!
Oh No, it is alive and flappin in the nest. Maya is sitting tight on the chicks!
A big flap there! Maya rises
OH NO it is now in with the chicks !!!
Maya has now returned to the nest and smothering the fish!
I hope the chicks are OK, especially the newly hatchling and also that the poor fish dies soon
Maya will have to get that fish out of there !!
This is a nightmare to watch - Maya cannot settle and I can't see the fish. I can see the chicks squirming beneath her but of course it is impossible to see clearly
Edit: Almost 10 minutes on and Maya is still unsettled, she cannot brood the chicks. Plus that fish will be cold!!
Worrying times
Birdies LG DU update.
Mike, it was awful to watch! Maya seems a little more settled but I just hope that fish is not on top of one of the chicks.

Mike - my BP is already through the roof with this fish!! It is unfortunate that we have had no close ups and I don't think it is clear but I think we just need to accept it and try to work with what we have and just be grateful that the cams have stayed up over the weekend and hopefully they will continue to behave. One thing is that now the problems have been raised, thanks to you, I think we may see some improvements???
