33 just arrived with another fish. Maya takes it and he flies off. Maya soon starts to feed to chicks.
#1, #2 & #4 line up. #3 curled up behind them. #1 and #2 being fed first
Hard to see the feed for Maya is blocking but #3 has now crept up and joined them.
No 4 is a clever chick, it’s tucked in tight to Maya whilst feeding is going on, just 2 or maybe 3 being fed at the moment.
33 on the nest just now. Hope he isn't looking for any fish for the fish piece he returned with has been devoured about 10 minutes ago as Maya gave the chicks a top up. Hard to see who was fed but got a glimpse of one of the eldest chicks eating.
Time to go fishing again 33!
Fish, what a good provider 33 is
One of the eldest and #3 up first
Intruder around - 33 mantling crazy and Maya too.
Maya has settled and continues to feed the chicks. 33 flies off
#4 has joined the line and #3 turns away full.
#4 now getting fish
#4 doing well and getting a fair bit of fish
18:22 the other older chick joins the feed and #4 remains between the two older chicks and still being fed
18:30 One of the eldest left a few minutes ago and #4 has also turned away full. #3 is having a little more.
18:36 Feed over. Maya continues to have some while the chicks collapse in a heap. Sh has fish but no takers - they are all full.
All chicks are stuffed full of fish.
33 arrives with another fish. He drops it on the nest for Maya and the chicks.
Maya offers the chicks another top up from the left over fish
A couple of them have a few bits but soon they are keeping their beaks shut and turn their backs.
19:13 Maya now enjoys a good meal of fish to herself for she has no takers.
KAREN triumphantly reported at something past 6:
So happy to see that KAREN, and thanks so much for your great reporting and lovely pics :)
More little feeds since the last report, Maya was hot and tired in the bright evening sun:
...then one big feed interrupted by 33 bringing back a plump half!
This was the only shot I could get that came close to showing #4 getting a bite - and it actually got quite a few, when Maya wasn't offering morsels halfway into its beak then eating them herself - you know how they do that ;)
After nightcam I got this *eek* but it recovered when I got around to refreshing the browser:
