Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

33 just landed with a fresh fish which Maya moves in to grab
She then starts to feed the chicks but then stops, leaves it in the centre of the nest and goes back to the older fish!
#4 is at the back but trying to push forward but sadly as it does so the older chicks' wings hold it down
Maya has moved round, turning the chicks and now #3 is getting some fish

#4 remains at the back squealing - it must get forward
Now 10 mins into the feed and Maya is still frantically ripping fish and dishing it out to #1 and #2 for they are at the front. #3 and #4 are stuck behind them.
Good the older chicks are full and now turning away. Hopefully #4 and #3 can now get in and get something OH NO ... #4 is trapped between/under the older chicks
Maya moves over and takes the fresh fish. #3 now getting some along with one older chick but #4 remains lying down
#3 still getting fish
Older chicks have moved back up for more and feed ends.
17:12 Maya stops feeding from the fish and starts cleaning up. Bits she is picking up she is feeding to #1 and #2. I didn't see #4 get any fish and then when cleaning up she passed one bit to #4 and it fell over. Again she looked as if she was feeding it a little bit but then gave it to one of the elder chicks. Surely Maya has not given up on #4!
Now Maya has grabbed the other fish and has a few bits herself. I so wish #4 would join her.
#4 is being fed now - I've just seen it get 4 bits of fish
more
and more
and more, and more until it cannot stand LOL
#4 is getting loads now ... Maya is stuffing the fish into little #4 LOL :-) And now #4 turns away but Maya pushes one last bit of fish into it
