CATCHUP 05 May
Aran arrived to take over before 5 am:
He didn't leave the first time of asking and was still incubating at this stage:
MrsG caught mid-preen:
After that long preen, back to the nest at last:
The Oak Leaves incident :o
First fish - not a large portion, it had been passed over blurrily on the nest:
Aran elegantly tiptoeing to duty:
While MrsG was munching, here was Aran, one eyed, gorgeous nevertheless:
I was so looking forward to getting to the tailfin but it was very disappointing - a thin fin went down before this, which was the very last beakful, just some skinny stuff:
The post-prandial scratch was nice tho:
Aran took MrsG's place on the perch and picked a tiny sliver off it and ate it:
Aran said Goodnight at 9 o'clock:
MrsG got up for a flap and a poop:
Another exercise break - or was there an unwelcome presence nearby? I couldn't tell:
Hmm, I think it was all an elaborate, not to say laboured, work-up to a poop:
She flat out on her chin as I type.
MrsG in the posture that Aila will envy:
But her head's up and she's looking out "north-west" now.
