Yikes !!! I thought I must have missed it but it's all there waiting for attention :)))
Thank you, everyone, for the super captures and info :)
I can't believe they arrived together - but they did! ;-D
Three matings altogether, only the first successful, IMHO. They were on the nest nearly 13 minutes, this is cut down to 5 but no significant activity missing - you know how they like to stand and (males) mantle and (females) look a bit nonplussed ;)
UNCUT VERSION:
The first was the best ;)
He sat here for ages after his second nestcupping:

IMAGICAT
I’ve always thought that Aila is a bit skittish but then they have had trials and tribulations owls, pine martens etc. Fingers crossed.
Edit thank you Scylla and Liz.
Good Morning, it seems possible that Aila and Louis may have moved home (See post this morning Woodland Trust from Liz Bracken)
It will be sad not to watch them on cam but do hope they are settling in else where and raise a brood this year.
Six minutes ago! It seems they may not have abandoned the nest completely.
Louis lifted up and landed on her back, then flew off. Followed by Aila
and they have both returned! I think the wind needs to drop and change back to a SW direction and all will be well!

I am running about four minutes behind on the scroll back. 10.40? There was another mating attempt and Louis flew off. He returned with soft bedding material! They they flew off together
The soft grassy/moss is obvious on the nest.
Now back on 'real' time. ENS
