Yikes !!! I thought I must have missed it but it's all there waiting for attention :)))
Thank you, everyone, for the super captures and info :)
I can't believe they arrived together - but they did! ;-D
Three matings altogether, only the first successful, IMHO. They were on the nest nearly 13 minutes, this is cut down to 5 but no significant activity missing - you know how they like to stand and (males) mantle and (females) look a bit nonplussed ;)
UNCUT VERSION:
The first was the best ;)
He sat here for ages after his second nestcupping:

Thanks Patily. I hope you can look in later . And hope the pair are there
Good morning, I think a bit of a nest tidy is required, a nest full of branches.
For some reason best known to this forum it won’t allow me to post an iPad grab because of size.
On the PC now so can add a grab.

Very clear picture JaneV, thank you. It seems to me that we should be glad of the ''mess'' , surely it shows that someone has been busy trying to build up the nest Well, maybe. it does look like a mess but since the winds here have been so horrendous, understandable
After Louis's short visit pre-daycam:
... no-one appeared until 06:22, when Louis brought a goldy clump:
Then he brought a greeny clump:
And tried to deal with the sticky-up stick, but failed:
He couldn't figure it out:
Then he arrived empty-taloned and did the tiniest bit of nestorising:
Surveyed the nest, decided there was plenty for Aila to do:
And this was the last sight I can find of anyone today :(((
Oh dear. They both got disheartened by all the mess, didn't they. But, they'll really have to step up if they want family this year.
Nice captures Scylla.

I've got permission from Liz Bracken (a 100% trustworthy source, as you know) to post her observations here - not that she has had a lot to report today, but at about 12:30 she said that she had "seen 2 further afield".
No-one on the nest since 07:00. I only hope they're bonking for Britain in a secret tree ;)
