Yikes !!! I thought I must have missed it but it's all there waiting for attention :)))
Thank you, everyone, for the super captures and info :)
I can't believe they arrived together - but they did! ;-D
Three matings altogether, only the first successful, IMHO. They were on the nest nearly 13 minutes, this is cut down to 5 but no significant activity missing - you know how they like to stand and (males) mantle and (females) look a bit nonplussed ;)
UNCUT VERSION:
The first was the best ;)
He sat here for ages after his second nestcupping:

Thanks for the commentary and snaps, SHEILA :)
Lovely vid of Louis' comings and goings. ENS
From George Anderson with which I concur, as much as it pains me - on chat:
11:40 AM George Anderson It would be nice to see her back but its a relief to know Louis might have other options.

I believe it was Louis, Scylla. He arrived as tho he had seen someone, then pottered before taking off in the time it took for me to take one snip at Glaslyn

Yes indeed Sheila. my heart is stabbing too. Thank goodness for all the good news today (Tegid and Clarach) and (hopefullly) 5 F for Tegid .
Early enough in the season for Louis to mate. But ........... what in the world happened ...........
Well I am not sure whether this is THE battle royal between Blue 24 and Glesni, but is was very much a case of talons, and knocking each other off the nest. Pretty brutal. So it is quite possible Aila and the intruder had such an altercation off the nest, as Odin did. Who knows, but yes, it is dangerous.
