LM12 arrived on Friday 15 March, and his regular mate, LF15, on Saturday 23 March. Since then, we've seen them renewing their bond, with skydancing, mating, fish, mating, more fish, more mating, oh, and perfecting the nest. Going on their past performance from the 4 years they've been together, I reckon we can expect the first egg to be laid anytime from 4 April onwards. Rather a poor camera, isn't it
Good Morning Patily and Cirrus
The webcam is certainly a bit out of focus this morning, but I certainly wouldnt say it was a poor camera as we usually get very good captures from it, it sometimes is affected by the wind and movement but it settles back to a nice sharp image, as ahown below.... maybe it just needs to be re-focussed in the visitor centre.

Hello there Mary. lovely pic of Lassie
Laddie just brought in a solid-looking clod.

Well I am sorry to disagree, I know the cam is affected by the wind, but if you are patient and wait until it goes sharp then take a capture it is very clear, we have to bear in mind the logistics of what and where the nest is, and I for one am appreciative of any cam regardless of quality, this cam especially when zoomed in can produce some very clear captures.
I think we need to get things into perspective before we go slagging of the quality of webcams.
Sorry if this sounds a little harsh, I think the waiting is getting to me.
This time he had to have a little sit-down before getting on with it ;)
Re the cam - I've noticed long periods of severe fuzziness, as if the focus needs adjusting; at other times there's been cloudy pixelly blurring (I know what I mean, lol) and I've been surprised this past few hours by the clarity :o You'll understand that I can't be more precise.
But the other day, MARY, when you got another Lassie portrait, I was amazed at the time as to how you'd managed. Amazed and delighted, I must say ;-*
