Hello everyone. It seems I missed some action while I was still under the duvet. That will teach me! Thank you, Sandra, for reporting it, for Carnyx alerting Moffer and for the captures. I hope the VC is able to ID the ring. It's been quiet of late, on a dull day at the moment, although the is a bright spot in the sky to the south east (ish!).

Here's a video of our visitor.  The cam still blurs on movement, and the head is cut off most of the time (reports Moaning Minnie).

Does anyone else think this may be the blue ringed that has previously been seen at the nest?

Yes, KAREN, I thought he was a familiar bird :)

I did wonder whether it might have been PP7/Cromarty.  He and his mate landed on the nest last year.  However, Gary Jones has told me PP7 still has his tag and aerial - and a nest and a female!!

Edit:  Cromarty has been seen at Aviemore this season.
