Caerlaverock 2019  I contacted Caerlaverock as I hadn't heard or read any updates recently.  Lindsay at WWT came back to me with the following

Ospreys have raised chicks at our Caerlaverock reserve in previous years but sadly, this hasn't happened this year.  A pair did hang around for a while and we were hopeful but they must have chosen a different nest site in the end.  Hopefully they're doing well, wherever they are!

I have seen very little info this season, and I have always been confused about their nests.  One has a camera I think, and that is the one they refer to as Nest 2, but I am unsure why.  Did the pair change nests at one time, and they moved the cam?  Yellow 80(06)m and an unringed female.  The other pair is White TR(08) f and unringed male.  I am not sure which nest they have deemed as failed, or whether both have, or I've got it completely wrong!!

Thanks for that SHEILA Does it mean that neither of the "usual" pairs have bred at a monitored sight?Surely Lindseywould have mentioned ifanyof the known birds had been seen

Not too sure who is who here as all seem so wet, poor things

I read somewhere recently in a snip or tweet regarding one of the three juveniles from Llyn Clywedog (ON5) had fledged and had not returned. Can anyone shed a light on this story as to which bird this was KA6 - KA7 - KA8 and whether it has returned safely. The site run by Jon Williams has not been updated since May. Any news of the others on this nest. I did visit the site when in Wales along with a visit to DOP first weekend in July but then all were resident in the nest.

SHIELA FE - Thanks for the information on Caerlaverock. Wondered why My Caerlaverock was blank for 2019.

KEITH For what its worth somebody on DOP chat a couple of weeks ago mentioned that it was KA8 there were concerns about but there has been no further mention
