FLS ABERFOYLE 2019

But, did Clarach have to get her own fish then !!! ??????

The male arrived fishless. She'd been yelling for about an hour before she took off and he arrived a minute later, closely followed by her. Then she took off pretty smartish so maybe went fishing for herself. But the information board says he'd brought her a fish before (14 May) so all seems well. Of course, the staff at the VC aren't able to watch the camera much and if they only had US to watch it we'd see a lot more and could report on it. There's no chance the camera can be fixed now as the pair are on the nest.

The funny thing was, at one point when Clarach was on her own on the nest, she got up and started walking backwards and suddenly, I could hear excited bird noises. I thought the sound on the webcam had kicked in and prepared myself to take a photo of the male arriving with a fish. Then I realised the noise came from a small child pressing one of the 'interactive bird buttons' in the centre.......a peregrine squalking I think.

  • Oh dear. ha ha Korky - disappointing really , though. Thank you for such a full explanation

  • Just bringing this thread forward. No more posts from The Lodge since last Sunday. Assuming the first egg was laid 4 May we can expect a hatch about 2+ weeks from today. Let's hope she's sitting on 3 eggs, perhaps from different males!
  • Ha!! Oh deer. Is that half an antler I see before me?

  • Indeed it is Korky!. That's a first for me>
  • Thanks for posting the link, Mike
