I thought I'd start a new thread for Aberfoyle. Especially for Sandra (other dedicated Aberfoyle watchers are also available).

Clarach and her beau both arrived on 15 April last year. Here's the countdown clock (from Pete Dee's site)

I too am over the moon that she is OK Thanks for the link COLIN Great to actually see her Sad that she was successful in her first season and thwarted since Pray for better luck next year

Poor old Clarach's thread has slipped to page 2. No further update since last week from The Lodge. I wonder what happened.

Hi Korky, I've been checking The Lodge's fb page everyday in case there has been any other updates. I don't think we'll ever know what happened which is very unfortunate for the folks at The Lodge, us and Clarach and her partner. Very sad.

Coincidentally I rang them this afternoon and I'm afraid the answer is they have no more information or sightings of her since the last Facebook post which they put up on the 29th.

Oh dear. That's very sad indeed. Let's hope she's gone off on a wee holiday in Scotland or returned early to her wintering quarters.

Thanks, Mike, for the information, but it is sad. Perhaps Clarach will search for another nest and another male, having failed twice at Aberfoyle, although I do hope that she tries again at Aberfoyle next year. Will it be third time lucky?
