Thanks, JD. Wonderful news about the chick on nest 6 but the loss of chick 4 on nest 1A is very sad. So sorry to hear it. Especially sad as YA's tiny young half sibling on the Glaslyn nest died only a few days ago. I'd been hoping that YA and Mrs YA would successfully raise all 4 as they have done in the past. The consolation might be that they have successfully fledged so many youngsters in past years and with a bit of luck may fledge the remaining 3 later in the summer, fingers crossed.

I am not sure when this was published, but Forestry England has posted a blog on a decade of ospreys at Kielder

I can't believe how unlucky the new parents are with the weather jaydee, I'm really worried for the chicks now. :(

As said in blog, it survived the night, but not much longer. Sorry if that isn't clear.

This is such terrible weather this year and poor Kielder has had more than its fair share Really worried about the chicks, especially on nest 6 Fingers tightly crossed
