I thought I'd start a new thread ready for this years relocation, which is year 3. Along with news of any sightings of the Translocated Ospreys from the first 2 years of the project

For iPhone users, Poole has produced an app covering sightings of all birds in Poole Harbour. I am an Android user, but I am sure it would be really useful. I doubt it will cover osprey positions tho.

Thanks, Mike and Sheila. With luck, a male from 2017 will arrive in the next few months and take a shine to her and claim the nest. Then if both return next year we might see eggs and chicks--fingers crossed.

Ha, ha, Richard! We can always hope CJ7 will settle on the nest with the camera, even if it may not be live streaming. It could be a good sign that she has fished at least twice from that nest in the last several days.
Mike, I hope you receive a reply with a bit more information about CJ7. It would be great if she is a close relative of one or more of the other Rutland Osprey stars.

She almost certainly is a relative. Only 2 nests (Site C in 2003 and Site O in 2009) have been reported at Rutland in which neither parent was 03(97) or his descendant. I can't be quite certain because Rutland stopped issuing full details in 2015 when CJ7 was fledged.
