Hi everyone, I've not been in much to the site today, on and off. It was thought that the youngest had fledged but this is in doubt and until it is confirmed by The Team we can assume that it hasn't yet.
There have certainly been some near takeoffs and helped by the wind, the youngest has jumped and "flown" across the nest but this is all. It has been the eldest getting bolder and the middle one taking on more flights. There's time yet.
Peaceful scene here with two young on the nest and the eldest probably on the cam post or way to the left at the edge,, don't really know where he is.
Happy viewing and we'll see what to day brings. Over to the night shift.

Hello, everyone; Yes, that last big gust almost knocked EJ off the nest. Wind 1:branch 0 !!!!!!!!!Hahahaha
PS I hope the youngster which flew off a short time ago doesn't lose his/her way back. You know what I mean when I say it's often hard to make it back to the bit of beach you left when you BEGAN swimming?

I think that they are most likely to migrate in late August.

EJ and two youngsters on the nest. Eldest is probably around somewhere. And EJ has just flown off
Now ia this #3 practising and #2 sitting
Now both are up ,I thinks its the youngest doing more exercsing and 2 mouching and a little exercise.
Its being blown by the wind and was clinging on to a large stick so it didn't go. It really looks like taking off, nearly yet so far.
Wow! Number 3 showing everyone how to multi-task: learn how to fly AND carry that huge branch across the nest AND therefore rearrange the nest whilst flying for the first time!! Well done, youngest.
Both of them preening away, oh one has sat down, which I think is the middle one.
It's getting a tad breezy - the scenery is swaying! #2 nearest camera:
