EDIT
Late in the day I changed the title of this thread from "DU" to "Off-Season Obs" ~ anyone is welcome to suggest a better title than the current one :)

No osprey presence yesterday, but in the evening a visit from an osprey nemesis ;)

TIGER has reminded us that we mustn't jump the gun when our ospreys don't appear on-cam, or even at the Centre, for a day or two, so we wait...

MaryGK said:Well Done on capturing the Cresties, I have yet to see one on the LG feeder, but do hark back to a photo I have posted before of having the great pleasure of having them feed from my hand in Switzerland.
Wow! That's amazing Mary. So lucky. Photos are great! They are such flighty birds I'd never have imagined they'd feed from your hand. Must try that up at LG this year......(I've only ever seen them on the webcam)
Korky despite visiting Loch Garten many many times since 2011 I have yet to see a Crested Tit there. Not for the want of looking for them.

That must have been a real Wow moment Mary, having the cresties feed from your hand, magic.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What a thrill for you, Mary, and I love the photos.
Couldn't resist, of course, tho matching up this one is a bit of a challenge but I know you are very tolerant ;-D
(This should be only 400px wide but it's looking huge before posting... EDIT, and it was after, too, so here it is resized down.)

Awww Thank You Scylla for taking the time to do that, its a lovely Frame very well matched , pity the photo wasn't so good, but its the content that I will always cherish. It was one of the memorable highlights of my life....
All the Crestie pics are great & very envious of Mary's close encounter ... just seen this on FB

Dusting of snow on the ground today (17 Jan). Ian
Looks like all the wildlife has decided to hunker down!
Birdies LG DU update.
Not surprised Mike, it has turned really cold and snowy with us.
