Very Quiet

I wonder if they are being distracted by also having to prepare for their talk about the project at Birdfair! Fingers crossed that there is no dire reason for the recent silence.
Kind regards, Ann
Maybe they are saving any news for Birdfair?
Birdies LG DU update.
Let's hope so, Mike.
Some of the Osplets are out and about flying round the harbour, how many hasn't been released yet by BofPH.
Saw a couple of photos yesterday showing one of the harbour resident females (unringed) flying with a fish, while be followed/mobbed by one of the youngsters.
Hopefully some more details will be released this week with the start of the Harbour Osprey boat trips
Saw Paul Morton and Tim Mackrill at Birdfair yesterday , great talk ,now looking forward to boat trips

Sad news
This is why we've been so quiet. Sorry.
Oh my goodness. What terrible news. So sad for the birds and everyone involved in the project. Let's hope they can try to discover why it went so wrong for some of the birds, especially as the article says, there are well established protocols for these translocation projects. You and everyone else Alison must be feeling really upset.
This is such sad news, Alison, but thank you for the post. I can only imagine how devastated everyone must be.
Tragic news indeed, so sad to hear.
We can take some heart from the fact that seven birds have fledged and are doing what young Ospreys do
