Good evening all. This looks so.promising. If Rutland may have reached saturation point and more and more young ospreys being reared every year they must want new nesting sites. I hope they become as successful as the Rutland project. You are very lucky to.be involved in this fabulous project Alison!

Maybe it is time to translocate some Rutland chicks to Poole.
All being well, the first female to nest at Poole Harbour may well be the Rutland female who has been visiting Poole, both last year and this year. There is another unringed female seen several times this year not too far away at Fishlake Meadows and she may also be tempted to nest at Poole. All we need is a couple of translocated males to 'come home' in 2019 or 2020!
Kind regards, Ann

Maybe a male will come up from France. Or a Scottish male decide it is too far.
Superb photos of an unringed adult fishing in the harbour, by Mark Wright.

Thanks ALAN Wonder if more have been releashed this week?
Very quiet with news on the relocation project this year.
Looking at half a dozen different sources, there must be a secret one I don't know about.
