What an uneventful day we just survived :o We heard that the cold weather accompanied by high winds all day prevented many birds from carrying out their usual fishing routines, and GJ was among them... until evening, when he turned up for the first time on-cam with a very fine fat headless fish.
This could be compliments of MOFFER or LIMPY, who both posted a similar batch of snaps. It shows the girth of the fish very well.
The rest of the evening was plagued with cam up-n-downs but it seems to be steady now.
EJ has looked rather doddery, maybe the windiness kept her off-balance. She has settled with a good tail portion of fish for company, only the fin showing at midnight;

On the third intrusion, you'd think he was going to catch a fish :o
I'm not sure that there wasn't a blue ring behind that right foot, but all my other views are blurred/glared out.
Blimey...I have been missing all the drama :-(
Hello Twiggy
I think EJ wanted you to bring that piece of fish back.

GJ has been much more attentive today, but the fish is all gone.

I wonder whether EJ just didn't notice that GJ brought in a fish just before 16.00hrs. It is odd that she called, but didn't take it, unless, as Limpy suggested, she knew the intruder was around. But to refuse the fish a second time really is a little unusual!
Nice to see him on the nest with her again.... but go fish young man!
It's getting a bit blustery on the nest, so that won't make fishing any easier.

LOL I loved the way he came in, sidling to her, talons underneath. Was he hoping she would get up so he could incubate? On the vid of this morning posted later by Scylla, when EJ was tucking into her breakfast, she paused and what I assume was GJ flew from behind, and passed the nest to the left. EJ looked, but didn't react. So he was around earlier.

It looks as tho the rain clouds are coming in again. Don't be fooled by the late evening sun!
LOL CC, quite likely.
Time for me to get on with dinner now.
