What an uneventful day we just survived :o We heard that the cold weather accompanied by high winds all day prevented many birds from carrying out their usual fishing routines, and GJ was among them... until evening, when he turned up for the first time on-cam with a very fine fat headless fish.
This could be compliments of MOFFER or LIMPY, who both posted a similar batch of snaps. It shows the girth of the fish very well.
The rest of the evening was plagued with cam up-n-downs but it seems to be steady now.
EJ has looked rather doddery, maybe the windiness kept her off-balance. She has settled with a good tail portion of fish for company, only the fin showing at midnight;

16.45 Intruder is back, legs seen this time, but I didn't catch a photo, so couldn't say if there was a ring or not. It lifted off and left. EJ is back on the eggs.

Well done Limpy. Perhaps it was unringed?
I couldn't see a ring.
Hi everyone
Thanks for all the updates, pictures etc. It's certainly been an eventful day at LG.
EJ currently looking quite watchful, having recently told and intruder where to get to. Thankfully she's a lot drier looking than early morning. Nice to see Go's defending skills are still top notch. You tell them Geordie!
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I wonder if the intruder was the male who arrived the week before Twiggy. It looked as though the bird tried to land on EJ's back.
EJ you are looking in too many different directions and I am struggling to keep up.
Who can tell, Limpy! More to the point, where is GJ with the fish! He brought it in at 15.57, but took it away when EJ continued to call, but didn't get up. He tried again, as reported by Scylla, but again didn't leave it.
As she waits she looks regal, and tends to her feathers
